Spent another Friday across town at Rock’n’Roll Knife and Tool, as is the custom.
Activities involved prepping some stuff for the queue, building a new vertical quench tank with more oil capacity, and cooking a custom.
Gluing up some patterns. Some lower-priority stuff for me, and a couple that will probably be sold. O1, A2, and 154-CM.
Vertical quench tank, but without the convenience of the electric pre-heater on the smaller tank:

Check out the awesome Hamon hardening line on this custom (yes, it looks familiar)! The thickest part of this blade is ~1/4" (corrected from 3/8″)

Just went rough on the underside for this first one.
Tuned up the edge a bit – only took a couple minutes.
It gets a lot of use!
