Knife Night

Spent another Friday across town at Rock’n’Roll Knife and Tool, as is the custom.

Activities involved prepping some stuff for the queue, building a new vertical quench tank with more oil capacity, and cooking a custom.

Gluing up some patterns. Some lower-priority stuff for me, and a couple that will probably be sold. O1, A2, and 154-CM.

Vertical quench tank, but without the convenience of the electric pre-heater on the smaller tank:

Mr. M executes the quench from the electric oven:
Pull, cut, squish, yank, plunge (5160):

Check out the awesome Hamon hardening line on this custom (yes, it looks familiar)! The thickest part of this blade is ~1/4" (corrected from 3/8″)
