Knife Night

Tonight was mostly gluing patterns and straightening stock. Rick started his first powered bevel grinding with Hans supervising. I cut and profiled this little utility knife for a BF member.

Picnic knife in 1084 and Oiled Zebra

This cute little knife is for cheese and picnics.
The Zebrawood scales are book-matched from a plank given to me by Aldo the same day I bought the 1084 steel from which the knife is made. Seems appropriate for the first completed knife from that steel.

Goodie Box

This shipment is from Jantz. There are a number of suppliers out there, but Jantz tends to have most of what I want most of the time, in sizes friendly to a small-volume maker. Their prices on p-ground A2 and O1 in particular are good. It’s not *Starrett* steel, but detecting the difference between that premium (and local!) brand and this stuff is beyond my abilities.
