First test blade in 15N20 for my own kitchen, with a quick vinegar etch to check for a hardening line/hamon – yup! Other side is belt finished bright to see how food acids affect this steel. Some pretty white oak on the handle is overshadowed by the ironwood and in-your-face G10 bolster scrap from another project.

Harpoon Belt Knife in AEB-L and Black Ash Burl
3.75″ hand-sanded Harpoon-profile blade in AEB-L, wearing a maelstrom of dyed, stabilized black ash burl over G10 on its 4-3/8″ series-2 tapered tang. *BAM* – One more notch. Maybe two. 😉
