This bushcraft utility blade comes with a little extra attitude. 4″ harpoon profile in 1/8″ AEB-L wearing black canvas micarta on its tapered tang.

Life-vest Mini-bowie Bearing Knife
This 4″ blade was hand-forged from half of an E/V Nautilus #rudder bearing. The bolster is the first time I’ve used the *upright* part of the brass bearing cage. The machined curves and tapers in the original material leave little room for error. The handle is starry-night-at-sea themed dyed, stabilized red oak burl from Nicholas that I picked up at BLADE show earlier this year. Although the little forged birudashi was completed first, this is actually my first hand-forged blade.
