Hand-forged Truck Spring AuK5
Available: $220
Finished this one in the spring, but never got around to posting:
AuK5 5.063″ hand-forged from truck coil spring in quench-finish, 0.164″ thick at spine, tapered tang, wearing natural Ka-Bar micarta scales, no sheath,60-61Rc. I *love* this steel.
Fits Ka-Bar nylon “Tweener” (Becker Shorts) sheath perfectly, available separately from Ka-Bar.
Forged Rudder Bearing Belt Knife in Gcarta
Another one for my shipmates, nearly complete except for sheath and edge. This 5.125″ blade was hand-forged from half of a E/V Nautilus #rudderbearing, brass bolster from the bearing cage, wearing Ocean Depths Gcarta from @g.l._hansenandsons.
Moose Mountain-5 in 1084 and White Oak
Moose Mountain-5 in 0.200" 1084, white oak and black G10. Edge at 61Rc, differentially tempered spine. Symmetrical 4.937" of blade and handle. Gently tapered tang, with balance at the first finger. This is a mighty knife.
