Boot Knife for a lady in A2 and black linen

Blade is just under 3″ long, 1/8″ A2 @1000grit
Handle is 3/16″ black linen micarta @360grit (tang at 600) – slim, with 9/64″ stainless pins

Tiny custom for Nix

Now that he’s (Nix Leather) received it, I’ll post a couple pix.
This little bugger gave me fits, and challenged all my techniques.
COOL little knife, though. It locks right in on a finger.

Paring knife in 154-CM & linen micarta

This is my first stainless knife in 154CM. The stock was oversize, so it’s a bit thicker than ideal. The handle is marooon linen micarta with 9/64″ (don’t ask) stainless pins. I’ve got some 3/32″ A2 and will have to get some 3/32″ 154CM for more of these.

There’s an oddity in the handle around the rear pin on one side, not sure what’s going on there. Perhaps a heat effect – the micarta is very burly and could have used a coarser sheet on the disk sander.

The handle is left a little large and blocky for my mom’s arthritic hands. This knife will cut a lot of Gin and Tonic limes!
